MCP Limits by Tier

DomainKits delivers the same domain data through separate channels: the web interface for you, MCP for your AI assistant, and the REST API for your code (Premium). Each channel has its own plan and its own quota, counted independently. MCP calls do not consume your web quota, and web usage does not consume your MCP quota.

Filter access follows your membership level and matches the web interface: the same tier unlocks the same search filters in both channels. Only the usage counting is separate, so filtered MCP research never eats into your web searches.

MCP responses are compact and token-friendly: each call returns a small, precise result set, and your assistant works through many small targeted queries. Quotas are sized for that workflow, and your AI can check its remaining quota at any time with the usage tool.

Tiers are sized by how you work with AI: Guest tries MCP without an account, Member (free) covers light tasks, Lite is built for AI-first research, Premium adds professional volume and the REST API, and Platinum runs unmetered for enterprise use.

MCP is not built for bulk or high-speed data retrieval. Rates are sized for conversational AI research. If you want to integrate DomainKits data into your own workflow, pipeline, or system, use the REST API, which is designed for programmatic access and metered separately.

Current per-tier quotas for every channel are listed on the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is DomainKits MCP?

A domain data server that connects to your AI. Once connected, your AI can search available domains, check WHOIS records, track keyword trends, analyze market prices, and run DNS checks, through natural conversation. Want your AI to do more than look up data? DomainKits Skills add structured domain workflows on top of MCP.

Which AI platforms support DomainKits MCP?

Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and most AI clients that support the MCP protocol. Setup typically takes 2 to 3 minutes.

Is DomainKits MCP free?

Yes. Guest access works without an account, with limited daily calls. Creating a free account gives you an API key and higher rate limits. Premium plans are available for heavy usage. Full per-tier limits are listed on the pricing page.

What domain data can my AI access through MCP?

Over 25 tools including: domain availability search, WHOIS lookup, DNS records, keyword trends, market pricing, domain safety checks, expired and deleted domain monitoring, TLD trends, and more. For a full list, see the GitHub documentation.

How does DomainKits MCP compare to traditional domain APIs?

A traditional API gives you raw data and leaves the analysis to you. MCP gives your AI the same data, but the AI combines multiple sources, cross-references results, and presents analysis you can use to make a decision. You can do the same research yourself on DomainKits.com using our web tools. MCP lets your AI do it for you, typically faster and in context. Add Skills on top, and your AI goes further: it walks you through the process step by step.

MCP Gives Your AI the Data. Skills Give It the Expertise.

With MCP connected, your AI can look up domain data across 25+ tools. Add Skills, and it walks you through the analysis step by step, asking about your goals and adjusting along the way.
