Question 1

What are newly registered domains?

Accepted Answer

Newly registered domains, commonly called NRDs, are typically domain names registered within the past 30 days. To support longer-term analysis, DomainKits extends this window to 60 days.

Question 2

What makes DomainKits different?

Accepted Answer

DomainKits lets you search newly registered domains and their metadata with flexible filters, no downloads needed. Explore live gTLD and ccTLD data, typically updated every 15 minutes, with a free account. In line with GDPR, we do not collect or share registrant data.

Question 3

Why watch newly registered domains?

Accepted Answer

Newly registered domains offer an alternative source of market signals. Each registration is a small vote cast with money, and each name can distill an intent into a few words. Tracking these registrations helps you understand where interest is growing, spot emerging trends, and identify domains relevant to your business or brand.

Question 4

Which TLDs are currently supported?

Accepted Answer

DomainKits currently covers 1,000+ gTLDs and six selected ccTLDs: .ai, .io, .so, .co, .sh, and .si, all with a rolling 60-day history. Access to these ccTLDs depends on your plan. Their data is sourced from public Certificate Transparency (CT) logs, so updates may be delayed. Other ccTLDs are not included; use TLD Search to check the status of any other extension.

Question 5

Can I download a list of newly registered domains?

Accepted Answer

Yes, though searching is usually enough. A free account lets you download daily lists from the download page. Paid plans also support exporting filtered search results. See pricing for plan details.

Question 6

Where do domains go after 60 days?

Accepted Answer

After 60 days, domains move into Active Domains, where they remain searchable alongside other registered domains. If a domain expires, it moves on to Expired Domains and, once the deletion cycle is complete, to Deleted Domains. Together, these databases cover the full domain lifecycle.
