Frequently Asked Questions
What is the newly registered domains list or database?
The newly registered domains list (also called NRDs or new domain registrations) is a daily dataset of domain names registered for the first time. DomainKits publishes this list across 1,000+ gTLD extensions, typically covering 300,000+ new domains per day. Up to 30 days of history are retained, and the date selector at the top of this page lets you pick a date within your plan's history window (7 days for Member, 15 for Lite and Advanced, 30 for Premium and above).
Why is this newly registered domain database useful?
Newly registered domains are one of the earliest signals of what is happening on the internet: a new name often appears before the website, product or campaign behind it. Analyzing them supports brand protection, cybersecurity, business analysis and trend research.
Does the newly registered domains list contain personal information?
No. The newly registered domains list contains domain-level data: the domain name, registration date, expiration date, registrar name, domain status codes, and nameservers. No registrant names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifying information (PII) are included. The dataset is designed to be GDPR-compliant.
What file formats are available for download?
Files are delivered as compressed .txt.gz (domain names) or .csv.gz (domain names with WHOIS fields). They are gzipped for faster download and open with standard tools such as gunzip, 7-Zip, or most programming languages.
Can I browse newly registered domains without downloading?
Yes. Search them online with New Domains Search, or set up a Keyword Monitor to get an email when new names matching your keyword appear. With a free account, New Domains Search also shows ccTLDs such as .ai and .io, which the download files do not include.
